Self build are expecting in excess of 16,000 visitors to the Belfast show in February.

Since 1934, the company has been renowned as a range cooker company but in the past 10 years has developed its Cast Iron Stove business. With the high efficiences, Stanley stoves are designed, developed and manufactured in Waterford, Ireland.  Our stove business is growing year on year with a forecasted 20% sales increase over last year with our new stoves the Cara and Reginald contributing 50% of the incremental growth.

Over the 3 days of the show, our cookers and stoves generated a lot interest and positive feedback in particular around stoves improving the energy rating of people’s homes. Independent research has shown that stoves are three times more efficient than open fires. While anything up to 70% of heat from an open fire goes straight up the chimney, the Cara Insert stove retains as much as 76% of the heat in the room, saving you fuel and money and as fuel is burned more efficiently it also benefits the environment.
 
At the show we have some recently launched products including our star of the show from last year, the Cara Insert stove now available for Curved Fireplaces. Taking up minimal space on the hearth with little intrusion into the room, it is the perfect choice where space is limited. We also had the sister stove of the Reginald – The Lismore – which will be going into production in October. This stoves looks exactly like the Reginald but is around 20% smaller and will heat up to 10 radiators.

This – combined with the severity of the last two winters and spiralling fuel costs – has led to a 20% increase in sales revenue.

With predictions for another very cold winter, thousands of Irish consumers have been installing highly efficient Stanley cast-iron stoves to replace their open fires.

Owen Power, Commercial Director, says: “All Stanley stoves including new lines, such as the Cara Insert and Reginald stoves both introduced last year, are designed, developed and manufactured in Waterford. The Company’s manufacturing plant in Waterford is currently working at full capacity to meet demand.”

Waterford Stanley, which is based in the city’s Industrial Estate, will exhibit its latest range of stoves and cookers, including the fantastic new Lismore stove, a sister stove of the Reginald, at next week’s National Ploughing Championships in Athy, Co. Kildare, 20th to 22nd September.

The company has been making cookers and stoves since 1934 and is part of the AGA Rangemaster Group, employing 120 people in Waterford.
